Directions to Vermillion, South Dakota by plane

Flights into the area have two options: Sioux Falls, South Dakota or Sioux City, Iowa.

• If you plan to stay at Country Inns and Suites located near the reception site, the Sioux City, Iowa airport is approximately 20 minutes away.
• If you plan to stay at the Comfort Inn in Vermillion, Sioux Falls and Sioux City are approximately equidistant, 65 minutes and 40 minutes away, respectively.

Directions to Vermillion, South Dakota by car

Vermillion is located 6 miles west of exit 26, Interstate 29.

• As you enter Vermillion from the east, on Business Hwy 50, you will pass under an orange overpass.
• Continue along Hwy 50 (Cherry Street) until you reach Pine Street (Burger King is on the NE corner of the intersection).
• Turn left onto Pine Street. Follow Pine until it dead ends into Canby. You will pass Main Street along the way.
• Turn left onto Canby Street.
• Turn right at the second intersection off Canby onto Thomas Street.
• The house is gray with white brick trim, the 3rd house on the right hand side of the street.

Directions to the United Church of Christ Congregational, 226 East Main Street, Vermillion, SD

• Enter Vermillion on Business Hwy 50, as you would to go to the Dunn house: turn left onto Pine Street from Hwy 50 (Cherry Street).
• Proceeding along Pine Street, turn right at the intersection with Main Street.
• The church is New England Colonial style, red brick, on the SW corner of the intersection of Main and Harvard.
• Parking is located behind the church, entrance along Harvard Street.

Directions to Dakota Dunes Country Club, 960 S. Dakota Dunes Blvd., Dakota Dunes, SD 57049

• Dakota Dunes is located just west of exit 1, Interstate 29, just north of Sioux City, Iowa, approximately 20 minutes from Vermillion.
• Exit west from I-29, passing Country Inns and Suites on your right.
• Follow the signs and balloons to the Country Club.

Hotel Information

We have blocks of rooms available at two different locations, one in Vermillion, the other close to the reception site at Dakota Dunes, SD. (We're going to encourage people to get rooms at the Country Inns & Suites, which is at Dakota Dunes, since the reception site is about 20 minutes from the church.)

Child Care Information

Children are welcome to attend the picnic at the Dunns' before the wedding ceremony. We will be providing child care in the church nursery during the wedding ceremony and reception. We have hired Sara and John Hoadley, teenagers of family friends and the preferred sitters of our minister's children, to watch children placed in the nursery. The nursery is equipped with cribs, kid-size tables & chairs, and a large, well-stocked play area, and is adjacent to the church kitchen. Please indicate the number and ages of children who will be attending the nursery in your reply.
