Stephanie Schwartz, RN, MPH, CDE

Stephanie Schwartz, R.N., M.P.H., C.D.E. is a Clinical Nurse Specialist who has been a specialist in diabetes care and education for many years. Her Master's degree in Public Health was in the area of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. She is the Executive Director of the Diabetes Monitor website.

Steph has been active on the Board of the local Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, as well as with the American Diabetes Association, and with diabetes summer camps in several states. She has been an officer and member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, and has been a member of the Committee on Education Program Recognition of the American Diabetes Association. Steph previously was Associate Editor for the Children with Diabetes website, and authored several pages for that website.

Steph lives with her husband Bill (who is an endocrinologist specializing in diabetes), and with their cats Katie (AKA OK), Charlie (AKA Spook), and Miranda (AKA Uh-ow) and dogs (Ada and Cyndi). (Ada's name is an acronym for the American Diabetes Association. Steph and Bill were the high bidders on a yellow Lab puppy that was offered by a local kennel at an ADA Benefit Auction a few years ago. Steph and stepdaughter Jennifer shortly thereafter went to the kennel, and chose the yellow Lab who is now part of our family).
